Clare's youngest ever representative football team in Colchester tournamentLast Saturday seven of our youngest players represented Sudbury Town Lions Under 6's in their first ever tournament at Stanway Villa. On their first occasion playing as a team and playing against other teams in the Colchester and District Youth Football League our new young stars made a fine showing. Finishing with 2 wins out of six games they gained extra confidence with each game played and in the end just wanted to play on and on! The children and parents had a great day and coach, Tony Sheppard, was truly proud of the way they played and enjoyed their football. These youngsters are just some of the 35 boys and girls who now gather on the football meadow every Wednesday evening from 6 - 7.15 to train under the watchful eye of our FA qualified coaches Tony Sheppard, Micky Harding and Kevin Harding.
