Those were just some of the words of praise a recent visitor sent to the Sudbury Business Association following a visit to Sudbury by the Mayor of Chatillon in France and Christopher Coombes.  They were here for a couple of days with their partners for a guided tour around Sudbury which included visiting the schools.  The Mayor kindly gave a presentation on his town Chatillon at the Annual Community Meeting held on Tuesday 21st April.

 

Following is a copy of the email received from Mr Coombes:

 

"As an expat living in France, it can be quite depressing reading about the many problems in the UK.  However, our visit to Sudbury has been a wonderfully uplifting experience.  The strong community spirit, the traditional English politeness and the warm welcome, for me make Sudbury an examplar of English community life.
